Cameras. Keyboards. Content.
I moved to Europe in 2007 and I've lived in Vienna, Austria, Berlin, Germany, Paris, France, and now call London, UK home. Upon arrival I started a blog. It wasn't very good, but apparently my writing was.
I wrote for The Next Web for a while, all before getting so involved in photographing Pioneers Festival, I never filed the accompanying article. My boss fired me, but introduced me to three event organisers. That turned into nearly a decade long career crisscrossing the globe and documenting just about every tech-industry-related event you can think of.
The pandemic put a stop to my frequent flyer miles, but those connections I'd made paid off. And then some.
As my bank account was starting to show signs of seeing better days, Tech.eu founder Robin Wauters phoned and asked a simple question, "Can you write?". "Let's find out," was my answer.
After three years of getting up before most people go to bed, drinking far too much coffee, and covering funding rounds, product launches, and the occasional collapse, I thought it might be interesting to see what the other side of the table looks like.
I joined a boutique PR firm as Director of Content and supported a wide range of firms with content campaigns and strategies. I wouldn't say I had a favourite, but it was definitely working together with Algorithmiq on a joint project spearheaded by IBM and NVIDIA.
Today, I combine all three disciplines to create a profile I dare say is unmatched: strategy, content, and photography that makes most founders look far cooler than they actually are.
